This website sets no cookies
Wendr’s website does not set any cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not share anything about your visit with anybody else. Nobody is told that you read this page.
This is why you are not asked to accept cookies when you arrive. There is nothing to accept. If that ever changes we will ask you first, and you will be able to say no just as easily as yes.
One thing does come from another company: the font this page is written in is loaded from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your browser needs the font. It sets no cookie and we receive nothing back from it.
What the app stores on your own device
Once you sign in, the app keeps a few things in your browser’s own storage so it can work. These are not cookies — they stay on your device and are not sent anywhere. Every one of them is needed for the app to run, so there is nothing here to turn off. Signing out clears them.
Your sign-in
Keeps you signed in so you do not have to type your password on every screen.
How long: Until you sign out.
Which shop you had open
Remembers the shop you were last looking at, if you run more than one.
How long: Until you sign out.
Your device lock
Remembers that this phone or till is set up with a PIN or passkey.
How long: Until you remove the lock, or sign out.
Unfinished work
Saves a cash-up or a form you have not finished, so a dropped connection does not lose it.
How long: Until you finish it, or clear it.
App version
Remembers which version of the app this device has, so it can update itself.
How long: Until the next update.
How to clear them
Sign out, and the app removes everything in the list above. You can also clear site data for wendr.co.uk in your browser settings at any time. Doing that signs you out and loses any unfinished work, but it deletes nothing from your shop’s records — those are on our server, not on your phone.
Asking us about this
Email hello@wendr.co.uk. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your shop’s information, and you can complain to us here if you think we have got something wrong.
